Spring Reins of Life is so glad to be back with the Seen Through Horses Campaign!

May 1-31st, 2024 is Mental Health Awareness Month. It is also the #SeenThroughHorses2024 National Campaign.

In its 3rd year the Seen Through Horses Campaign is a national effort and an collective opportunity to raise awareness and funding for more than 75 nonprofits in 36 states across America that provide mental health services with the assistance of horses. Yeah!

We welcome your support in both advocacy and funding. Sponsored by Zoetis Equine and produced by Horses for Mental Health it is a privilege for Spring Reins of Life to participate again this year. We see this as a way forward in ensuring the looming mental health crisis has alternative solutions at hoof and hand – educating the public to the depths or our work collectively on a national level allows the services to remain in place and available to those who need them most. Mission:  Our purpose at Spring Reins of Life is to provide equine-assisted psychotherapy for groups of trauma survivors where Horses lead the way toward a personalized path of peace and coping skills.
Since opening our arena gates in June 2012 we have had the honor of serving more than 3,000 trauma survivors in NJ. Minus the 2yrs we were forced to shut-down which proved to be a major setback on many levels, SRoL is a decade deep into this amazing work and we are also Survivors! Since last year’s campaign, SRoL has a new executive board and it is exciting because there have been many spots recently where it seemed like we would fail, and now it looks more like we will sail. Spring Reins of Life welcomes you to become part of our comeback!

The horses and our work is rock and that is and always has been solid. One of the things that will be brand new is a website! MooDesigns is helping us and has been incredibly patient, we will soon have a new look and an easier way to interact! There will also be a quarterly blog/newsletter that can give a highlight both upcoming events or offerings and report back to important occurrences here that we like to share yet more privately. We are survivors. Like the resiliency in the clients we have served for more than 12yrs we are on the way to finding new ways, many new ways, to stay on the same mission path. And so we go.

Oh, yes – another thing that is coming back! Annual June Demo Day. From 2012-2019 on the first Sunday in June we held a public open house demo day. The last one was in June 2019. This year, on Sunday, June 2nd 2024 from 1-4pm – Demo Day is back. See next post…
