Spring Reins of Life (SRoL) is a 501c3 nonprofit which serves trauma survivors in New Jersey since 2012. We practice the Eagala Model of Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy in a group format for various populations whom have endured moderate to severe trauma.

We are honored to share that since opening our arena gates in June 2012 we have served more than 3,000 clients in helping to provide a pathway towards peace and personalized coping skills.

We are eager to share a view of the modality and How involving Horses can create a viable resource of alternative mental health care when traditional talk therapy settings are ineffective or stagnating. One of the benefits toward having the horses as our colleagues is that often for trauma recovery, having to ‘talk about it’ can become the deterrent.

WHY HORSES:
Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (or horses as assistants in resolving mental health issues) is a fast growing and popular adjunct/alternative to traditional talk therapy. There are now Eagala Model programs in all 50 states and internationally. There is NO riding or mounted activities in this modality, and most of our clients have little to zero horse experience prior to participating. This is a solution focused and experiential model of allowing clients to find their own best answers to complex emotional & mental health issues associated with trauma, abuse, and loss.

Details: RAIN or SHINE – We have indoor facilities! On-site there will be EAP Demos, Craft / Bake Sale and possibly Live Music. Again, a strict 5mph while on farm property.
